The Gold Coast Multicultural Festival is one of the largest cultural events in South East Queensland and is coming back for its ninth year in September 2016.
This hugely anticipated event celebrates a myriad of cultures that reside on the Gold Coast giving the region is diversity and flare. 29% of residents are born overseas with that figure rising to 40% when you add the children of those residents, making the Gold Coast one of the greatest culture diversities in all of Australia.
The festival celebrates multiculturalism with food, art, craft, and information stalls, four entertainment stages, special speakers and celebrity guests, as well as children’s rides and activities.
