Celebrating the Music, Moments & Memories of the Yesteryear
Cooly Rocks On is Australia’s largest 50’s and 60’s rock 'n' roll and nostalgia festival held in Coolangatta and Tweed Heads annually over several days. Over two kilometres of the Gold Coast beach front is lined with more than 1000 hot rods, custom and classic cars with pumping rockabilly, swing, and rock ‘n’ roll music in the background.
There are hundreds of retro, craft, and food stalls filled with antiques, clothes, trinkets, and cuisine from a different era. In fact, Cooly Rocks On is popular to many simply for the vintage food alone! Having said that, the great music, impressive cars, and friendly and buzzing atmosphere are all part of what draw the 100 000 people back year after year.
The event culminates on the final day of the event in a Grand Finale that closes the streets, sees the outdoor stages moved together, and the festival come alive with street parades, shows, displays, competitions, and the assortment of vintage cars lining the streets.
In 2021 you'll see fan favourites including Pat Capocci as well as newcomers such as Brody Finlay and Cherry Divine to get you movin' and shakin' throughout the multiple stages and events!
The festival is free, and tickets to special indoor shows can be purchased at the door or online.
