BreakFree Alexandra Beach is one of our favourites as it's opposite the beach, affordable, yet super nice, and great for both taking the kids with, or heading up for a romantic stay! Rolling Surf Resort is another favourite on absolute beachfront in Caloundra. While The Rise Noosa boasts spacious apartments in the swanky part of town.
4. Eumundi Markets
The original artisian markets have been a family favourite on the Sunshine Coast for decades. You'll find homewards, jewellery, produce, dining, live music, and more.
The newest attractions at the markets include:
1. AUSWOOD - wearable wooden bow ties hand carved from 100% natural and sustainable Aussie wood.
2. Lisboa Cafe - started by Portugese natives in 2015, the team aim to introduce some of their favourite gourmet icons into the local food scene including their anchor product - the custard tart.
3. Lytchett Living - create recyled native wooden oil burners that are 100% unique and, when burned with sandalwood oils, repel mozzies.
If you need more convincing, here are 20 reasons to visit the original Eumundi Markets.
5. Check out a Rooftop Bar
Who doesn't love a drink with a good view? The Rooftop Bar and Garden has been called the biggest opening of 2019, and one look in tells us why. The establishment opens it's doors at midday and welcomes guests a retractable roof, incredible cocktail menu and impressive views.
6. See the Whales
Whale watching season is upon us and there isn't too much as thrilling as watching wild humpback whales breaching and blowing. The majestic creatures are utterly mesmerising to watch by boat, but did you know, the Sunshine Coast is the only place in Queensland you can swim with whales?
